LinkedIn SSI (Social Selling Index)
What is LinkedIn SSI (Social Selling Index)?
The LinkedIn Social Selling Index (SSI) is a score from 0 to 100 that measures how effectively you use LinkedIn for social selling. LinkedIn calculates it daily based on four equally weighted pillars: establishing your professional brand, finding the right people, engaging with insights, and building relationships.
Each pillar is scored out of 25 points. You can check your SSI for free at linkedin.com/sales/ssi. Higher scores correlate with more profile views, more connection acceptance, and better outreach results -- though LinkedIn has not published the exact formula behind each pillar's calculation.
Why It Matters
SSI is LinkedIn's own benchmark for how well you are leveraging the platform for sales. Research from LinkedIn shows that social sellers with high SSI scores create 45% more opportunities than those with lower scores. Tracking your SSI over time helps you identify which of the four pillars needs attention -- whether that is posting more content, growing your network, or engaging with prospects' posts.
